Cricket, Cricket And Cricket... I'm pretty sure most of you guys have heard of the word cricket before and maybe have seen cricket on TV, real life or heard someone talk about it before. If not you should definitely see it for yourself. I've watched cricket before and I absolutely LOVE it... Who's your favourite person that you like to watch play cricket? My favourite is MS Dhoni. I actually like to watch the 190s cricket because India had very good players but sadly they are retired now. Do you love cricket? What's your favourite sport? Today we were learning how to be an news anchor and find some interesting things that are happening this summer and share the news by being a news anchor and taking a video of ourselves and make it into a podcast. But today I just made a google slide about my summer news instead of taking a video of me being a news anchor. The interesting news that I wanted to share was about Ajaz Patel and how he became the third bowler in the history of men’s cricket to take all ten wickets in an innings. So for next time I should take a video of me being the news anchor. Comment down below what you liked about my slide.
Mōrena Sreelakshmi!
ReplyDeleteChris here again, from the Summer Learning Journey. Hope you’ve had a positive week!
Sadly, I know almost nothing about cricket. My dad is a huge fan, though, so I may ask him the questions you’ve asked here- if that’s ok! That’s quite an achievement for Ajaz Patel, thank you for sharing, and for explaining just how big an achievement that is, ka pai!
While the task did ask for you to actually be news anchor, which means filming your segment, I can see you put a lot of effort into this- so well done. Do you play cricket yourself? I’m not really a sports guy, I’m more into the art world- BUT, if I had to pick, it’d probably be rugby.
Hope you’re enjoying your summer, looking forward to seeing what you post next!
Ngā mihi,
Chris
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteThank You for commenting on my blog... I really appreciate this so much... Hope you have had a positive week too.. I'm glad you like my blog post. Yes you should ask you dad about the questions I've asked. Cricket is really easy and fun to learn. Yes sometimes I like to play cricket... I to also like art. Sometimes when I'm free I like to draw and paint. Rugby is a good sport too. Once again Thank You for commenting on my blog :) :) :)...
Kind Regards,
Sreelakshmi
Pai mahi, Sreelakshmi. You're very welcome! That's awesome to hear you like to draw and paint as well!
ReplyDeleteKa kite,
Chris
Also, I asked my dad and he said his favourite player was Richard Hadley, from New Zealand. He was very impressed with your knowledge, and noted that yesterday was the anniversary of the underarm bowling incident between Australia and NZ- contrasting your positive history with some of the less positive history of cricket! Haha.
ReplyDeleteWill be looking out for your next post, Sreelakshmi!
Ngā mihi,
Chris
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteThank You once again for commenting on my blog post... Did you know that Richard Hadlee was the first bowler in the history of test cricket to take more than 400 test wickets? Hope you are having a fantastic Summer :) :) :)...
Kind Regards,
Sreelakshmi
I did not! But my dad will be impressed to hear you know that! Nice work! Have a great weekend!
